The Birth of a Simple But Revolutionary Idea

Once upon a time, riding a wave of inspiration, there was a young father and talented carpenter, Thibault Tranchard, whose simple yet ingenious idea would change the world of fitness and play. It all began in 2012 with a playful experiment: Thibault sculpted a fake surfboard from the foam of his boat's mattress, creating a board with a rounded bottom for his 4-year-old nephew, passionate about surfing but unable to swim yet. Initially conceived as a family activity, this creation quickly attracted attention and sparked a craze beyond his wildest dreams.

The Success of Crowdfunding and an Unexpected Surge in Popularity

Convinced he had created the ideal toy for children, Thibault launched a crowdfunding campaign. The response was incredible, raising nearly €12,000 to start production. But here's the twist: not only did children fall in love with the ToyBoard®, but parents, rehabilitation professionals, and psychomotor therapists also saw it as an excellent tool for their patients.

Adaptation and Growth

Thibault, always attentive to this burgeoning enthusiasm, quickly developed a new foam density capable of supporting the weight of an adult. And so, a new chapter in the ToyBoard® story began.

Recognition and Expansion

Awarded at the prestigious Lépine competition just a few months after its launch in late 2015, ToyBoard® began riding a wave of success. It quickly gained popularity among healthcare professionals, non-profit organizations, and, more recently, in the fields of sports training and fitness. Proud of its "Made in France" label and deeply aware of its environmental impact, Thibault has been running ToyBoard® as a human-scale company ever since, with care and responsibility.
